Our client based in Coventry is looking to recruit a Bid Manager, this post is mainly UK based but may require short visits abroad for sales purposes.

Salary up to £70K depending on experience

Permanent role

To produce a tender quotation to potential customers that is both commercially and technically complaint and present this document in a well formatted and professional manner.

General Responsibilities

To understand the Bid strategy of the Divisional Sales Manager and to create a bid documentation that reflects this strategy. To monitor and control the direction of the Bid Engineers in reaching the bid strategy within the timescales using the lowest cost but technically compliant supplier solutions.

Specific Responsibilities

Commercial compliance and responsibility for bid construction

Ongoing technical review of the supplier's responses

Ensuring that Divisional Sales Managers project bid strategy is met.

Technical compliance of supplier's bids and the companies proposal.

Verification of overall technical design philosophy produced by bid engineers

Supplier Negotiation

Bid Resource Planning

Bid/No Bid Completion

Standardisation of part numbering used within quotation

Production of sales handover pack given to projects

Key Skills & Qualifications

Ability to work autonomously
3 years experience of Bid Management
Sound technical and commercial telecoms knowledge
Excellent IT and Communication skills


Detailed technical knowledge of multiple communication systems
Experience within the divisional marketplace.

Preferred Education /Qualifications

Degree qualified in relevant discipline

Production of sales handover pack given to projects
