Vacancy: Water Treatment Service Engineer / Account Manager

Location: Midlands / North of England

Our client is an established manufacturer of water treatment systems, and supplies its services to a variety of clients throughout the UK. The company is looking for an experienced Water Treatment Service Engineer for the Midlands, and Northern regions.

Responsibilities include:

• To account manage and where required service water treatment chemical accounts in all market sectors within the south east area of the country.
• Manage and carry out analytical tests on water samples from cooling towers, heating or steam boiler systems.
• Oversee water hygiene servicing and temperature monitoring for hot and cold water systems.
• Maintain existing contracts and to assist in the organic growth of the department. The successful candidate will carry a budget and be responsible for their own customer base. They will form part of a team in the area working with other engineers and technicians.
• Establish and maintain sound working relationships with customers whilst providing water treatment products and services to ensure compliance with ALL guidance notes and standards eg HSG274
• Be instrumental in maintaining strategies for specific projects and for the territory in general.
• Provide up to date and accurate monthly reports to the compliance manager as requested.
• Identify new opportunities for growth within the accounts
• Provide technical support to other water treatment staff where necessary
• Organise any sub-contractors necessary in the field of water treatment equipment

Requirements:
• To have a proven knowledge of water treatment and hygiene techniques including cooling towers, steam boilers, closed system, domestic services and industrial processes.
• To have a proven knowledge of pre-treatment plant operation.
• To have a detailed knowledge of control guidelines and standards.
• Maintain and develop own skills and experience as required
• Undertake training as required to obtain new skills and techniques to support continuous improvement & development of the department and job role.
• Maintain existing skill accreditations as required.
