Peter Smith is recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Stoke on Trent on a permanent basis.

The main purpose of the role will be to:
•Perform routine Microbiological testing of food samples
•Perform any additional testing that may be required
•Maintain all quality records and systems in accordance with ISO17025
•Take part in any required additional training related to the position
•Follow the company’s Health and Safety Policy and promoting a positive safety culture
•Assist with general laboratory housekeeping and maintenance of stock levels

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
-Excellent verbal and communication skills
-Knowledge of laboratory operations/standards
-Analytical nature
-Good IT literacy skills

The company is offering a salary in the region of £16,500 pa depending on skills and experience for his Laboratory Supervisor/Section Head role and benefits include 25 days holiday, pension scheme, flexitime, promotional opportunities, cycle to work scheme, child care vouchers and more.
