My client, one of the UK's most prominent fit out construction specialists, are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee projects in the Midlands and South of England.

This role will involve travelling regularly across the Midlands and to the South of England, so the ability and desire to travel for work is essential.

Previous experience in managing shop fit-out works is mandatory, the successful candidate must have experience with high-end retail shopfitting, preferably for prestigious clothing retailers or department stores.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage the site ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality by effectively organising and overseeing site activities

-Support the business in building and operating a team to achieve company objectives

- Monitor and report accidents ensuring paperwork is submitted correctly

- Manage and implement health and safety procedures including audit processes and ensuring documentation is correctly logged

- Control and monitor the use of resources on site, including sub-contractors and suppliers

- Ensure effective employee relationships whilst delivering change to working procedures and practices when necessary

- Understand and implement budgets, valuations and costs

- Contribute to requirements requested by HR including carrying out annual performance reviews, identifying training needs, monitoring attendance levels, etc

- Assume responsibility for staff understanding their roles and their requirements, managing staff accordingly by providing guidance, support and training where necessary

Successful candidates must:

- Have previous experience of site management in the fit-out industry - having overseen large retail projects for clothing and department stores

- Have a full UK driving licence

- Have a proven track record in project management

- Have exemplary leadership skills in management of employees

- Be computer literate with good IT skills

Qualifications Required:

- SMSTS

- CSCS

- First Aid Certified

Salary:£40-60k+ benefits, depending on experience (client has specified the salary is very much negotiable)
