Technical Analyst

Based in Leamington Spa

Objectives

The Learning Management System (LMS) Technical Analyst will work within Jaguar Land Rover’s Learning Technologies team and will be responsible for the functional and technical analysis, implementation, customisation and support of JLR’s internal LMS, Instance.

This successful candidate will have responsibility for ensuring effective requirements identification, planning, integration, and design input. This will require constant collaboration with the customer, Learning Teams, Technology Teams and vendor partners. The Technical Analyst will maintain a focus of user-centric design and business-as-usual (BAU) end-user support.

The Technical Analyst requires a high degree of technical expertise, collaboration, and a strong client service orientation. Basic project management skills and understanding of adult learning principles are desirable in this role.

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute technology strategies that further the JLR Learning and Development business
  • Enable communication and execution through effective project and change management
  • Ensure compliance with process, technology and data requirements according to system governance
  • Provide technical support, including troubleshooting issues, responding to client inquiries, system maintenance and integrity.
  • Use knowledge of system reports to create custom reports for both internal and external users
  • Assist with creation of testing and training materials for new or updated system releases and facilitate training.

Candidate Specifications

Essential Skills

  • Expert ability to translate business needs and problems into solutions
  • Advanced ability to investigate, analyse and solve complex problems/issues
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate project objectives and scope feasibility, gain understanding, and develop action plan for execution
  • Strong organizational and process management skills demonstrated by an ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience in technology management including user administration, multi-system integrations, data requirements, system configuration, system testing, and issue resolution
  • Experience managing processes and policies and facilitating improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (MIS, BIS, Computer Science, Engineering) or minimum of 2 years of Learning Management System experience desirable

Preferred Skills

  • Previous Software Implementation experience ideally with micro services
  • Experience in software release management
  • Previous Learning and Development experience
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of GDPR legislation

Working hours

  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
