CSL are seeking a Junior Software Developer to join an existing Research and Development team. The ideal candidate will be looking to develop a career in M2M and IoT within a fast-moving world of always connected services and products.
Importantly, the candidate should have a keen interest in all things tech and be willing to learn new skills to fit the business needs of the company.
The role will be based from our Rugby office. The perfect candidate will have a strong passion to work with software tools and will be expected to reach a competent technical level without delay. Overall an exciting opportunity to join an exciting Company with plenty of career progression.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This role will encompass a range of responsibilities including but not limited to:
Assisting and developing the R&D team with embedded system projects
Initial testing of new and existing products and features on in house M2M devices and partner products
Working with alarm and fire panel manufacturers on integration into the Gemini Global platform
Key Skills & Qualifications Required:
Software development using C/C++ (preferably with experience of embedded Linux systems)
Integrated Development Environments (Visual Studio, KDevelop, Eclipse)
Report writing and documentation skills
Testing and Analytical skills
Linux and Microsoft operating systems
Software version control systems (SVN,Git)
Communication Protocols (Serial, USB, TCP/IP, Wifi, 3GPP)
GCC, G++, make, cmake
