We are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer based in Birmingham

Salary: Up to £45,000 per year + Benefits

The Role:

*In this role you will work as the senior member of a design team assisting with new product design launches and existing product drawing support for improvements and updates on Rolling Stock.

*The Designer will be using 3D (Solid Edge) design package.

*This varied role will also encompass site surveys, production support and assisting design team whilst assisting in delivering presentations to customers.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

*The ideal candidate will have 3D design experience, specifically within mechanical engineering.

*Experience in the design of rolling stock components, systems and solutions.

*Experience of managing and leading a team, or the desire to take on this added responsibility.

*The candidate should have an understanding of the engineering design process, with good written and verbal communication skills.

*Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

*Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

-Payment is due only after a placed permanent employee passes the probation and rebate period

-Payment is only due on initial placement – further placements are excluded
