Desktop and Onsite Support Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity for somebody with an interest in IT to step into a Desktop and Onsite Support Analyst position with an opportunity to learn and develop in the IT services. This exciting role will see you supporting the business by providing a desktop support service on PCs, Terminals, Windows OS, Email, AD, Citrix, Mobile Devices, Printers & other desktop equipment. You will also provide onsite support for all areas of IT equipment at the sites for which you would have responsibility for.

What will I be doing in the role?
In the role as Desktop and Onsite Support Analyst you will;
Provide a desktop support service, including the trouble shooting, installation and upgrade of PCs primarily using automated tools.
Respond to IT related support calls as assigned within Service Level Agreements, using the call logging system to record and monitor progress.
Ensure calls are quickly and accurately logged, closed and analysed to prevent future occurrences, and that call resolution priorities are met.
Look at trends in call analysis and identify the root cause and fix, document any temporary workarounds and liaise with helpdesk or other teams where necessary
Have the ability to be able to improve practices within the team.

For the Desktop and Onsite Support Analyst specifically it is important that you have:
An in-depth understanding and knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 7 in a business infrastructure environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Security updates via central management tool.
Experience of the use of remote control applications.
Experience with SCCM/CMCB and PowerShell would be advantageous.
The ability to manage own time and work to deadlines, including journey plans, booking appointments with users.
Good communication skills and experience of dealing with all levels of customers, from end users to Managing Directors.
