Your new company are recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to work in and around Birmingham; Sutton Coldfield, Dudley, Great Barr, Hall Green, Solihull & Wythall. This organisation offer supported living and domiciliary care services to help individuals and their families live a more independent and fulfilling life, which are tailored for young people between the ages of 16-18 and adults from 18+. The company strongly believe that everyone should be given choice, independence and control of their own lives which is why they ensure care provided is personally tailored.
Your new role
As a Senior Support Worker you will be able to write and update client centred care plans and Risk Assessments. You will be managing individuals with a wide range of mental health issues, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will be caring for and assisting adults in their everyday lives carrying out tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, personal care, bathing, toileting, administering medication, meal preparation. You will encourage clients to maintain and build self-esteem and independence.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a compassionate individual who is dedicated and committed to the care and well-being of vulnerable adults with challenging behaviour and complex healthcare needs. You will hold a minimum of a NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and recent experience as a Care Worker. It is essential that you have good verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to show others how to be a great carer. It is preferable that you are a car driver with your own vehicle however this is not essential.
