Hays are currently working with a range of homes in Burton-on-Trent looking after adults with EBD or Learning Disabilities. We are looking to expand our team of support workers in this area, and have now got vacancies available for support workers wanting to pick up shifts on a flexible bank basis.
Your new role
As a Hays Bank Support Worker, you will be able to pick up shifts on a bank shift basis, and will have the opportunity to work in a range of homes caring for vulnerable people. Our clients all provide residential care to service users, however there is the opportunity to take part in days out with the people in the home. Your role will involve supporting adult residents with day to day tasks, and ensuring they receive the highest standard of care possible. Personal care may be required in this role, and some homes may require you to hold a driving license.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to be passionate about providing the highest standards of care to young people. you will need to be confident when working both on your own and as part of a team. You should be comfortable carrying out personal care, and be able to follow and update care plans where appropriate. The right candidate will be happy to work with adults with learning disabilities, and will be able to engage well with them, and provide support and supervision where required. A minimum of 6 months experience as a support worker, or in a similar role is required in order to be put forward for this job.
