Overview
Due to continued growth in the Defence and Justice service sectors, and the wider FM market, our client is recruiting an experienced Bid Manager to join the team.
You will perform a key role in the future of our Business Unit, managing the bid process for a range of exciting support services opportunities, coordinating a diverse team of professionals from across the business, either leading a bid in its entirety, or as part of a larger bid management team for more complex bids.
Working across the diverse range of services and markets we cover offers variety and interest. You will be responsible for planning and managing bids from outset to closure, including working with the market leads to develop the win strategy, developing a compelling solution with a competitive price, delivering a compelling proposal, and helping the business to assess and mitigate any risks.
This role will work with multiple customers and teams across the UK so can be based from any of our key locations in Oxford, Birmingham, London or Bradford.

Responsibilities
Managing and contributing activities across the sales lifecycle, including capture activities, soft market tests and other customer engagements
Developing and managing the bid strategy and approach
Managing relationships including internal and external bid team members, stakeholders, customers and executives
Developing and managing the Bid Plan, including resources, deliverables, timing, dependencies and risks.
Developing and managing the bid budget
Ensuring that the right people, with the right skills, are secured for the right roles within the bid and project/matrix management of bid team members
Managing the identification of commercial and operational risks and issues, and ensuring that these are assessed and appropriately managed/mitigated
Managing governance and approval processes
Ensuring best practice methodologies are applied to bid delivery, and that the bid process is continually improved

Requirements
Proven and successful track record within a bidding environment, and knowledge of best practice bidding methodologies
Knowledge of Defence or Justice support services sectors would be beneficial
Knowledge of Facilities Management services sectors would be beneficial
Ability to direct, manage, lead and motivate bid teams
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly developed influencing skills
Superb attention to detail
