Currently we are looking for legal professionals to join our fast-paced and dynamic legal team and we want to speak to either proven in-house solicitors or alternatively someone from Practice looking to make their first move internally.
Whilst the remit of the role is diverse and will naturally involve great involvement in project work, the position will ultimately be responsible for providing legal / technical advice and guidance to RAC, group companies and to our external partnerships.
The successful individuals will be expected to:
-To provide Commercial legal advice to the whole of the RAC business
-Advise on customer contracts with RAC`s commercial customers and on general business related queries
-Be an expert on operational and related issues and provide pragmatic advice with ongoing ad-hoc queries
-Advise on procurement, supply chain, and IT contracts
-Assist in the management of other areas including disputes, employment, approving marketing materials, IP and IT, etc.
-Liaise with external advisers as appropriate
-Contribute to the legal support of the business to facilitate implementation of ambitious business plans
-Support the development of the legal team as a whole
-Work on legal/technical documentation linked to new or existing RAC products and services
Skills, Knowledge and qualifications
In order to be considered, individuals will possess:
-Experience working as a lawyer; entitled to practice as a solicitor, barrister in the UK or a relevant jurisdiction
-Background working in-house or in Practice
-Commerciality and pragmatism and able to understand the needs of our internal customers
-Ability to apply the relevant aspects of law/legislation to the area of work
-Proven experience of working in a legal/technical environment for a highly commercial business
-A track record of having successfully identified and reported legal risks as appropriate
-Good oral and written communication skills
