Front End Developer - Part Time
·Develop new user-facing features

·Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
·Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
·Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
·Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
·Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
·Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.Person specification
We are looking for a programmer who is self-motivated and enthusiastic about web trends, has a clean and methodical approach to coding with good problem solving skills.
You need to be able to take on board opposing perspectives and put your case across clearly when you believe your approach is right.
Effective communication is at the heart of successful projects so you need to be confident when working with colleagues and clients.The post can be anything from part time hours to fit around studying, to a 3 month project-oriented contract to a full-time permanent position.
Salary will be dependent on experience, but around £17,000 - £22,000 pro rata.
