Position Overview

Reporting to the senior fire risk assessor to deliver an excellent fire risk assessment service to all customers through achievement of both company and external quality systems and to act as a key point of contact, and positively influence the customer's perception of our clients' fires safety. To undertake risk assessments for the company and to follow these up to ensure we adhere to our customer service and increase turnover.

To take a co-operative lead in the strategic direction and delivery of the Fire Risk Assessment division. To ensure best practice methods are used in the execution of the fire risk assessments. To advocate our vision and values at all times. To be fully responsible for the quality of service to the fire risk assessment customers and staff at all times. To keep up to date with all current fire legislation & apply to assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate an industry leading fire safety knowledge to enable an industry leading and compliant fire risk assessment
  • To achieve all set standards for the delivery of fire risk assessments to all customers and to achieve KPI targets
  • To produce accurate and efficient paperwork at all times to the company standard
  • To maintain a clean vehicle at all times (if applicable).
  • To maintain all issued tools and PPE
  • To deal with customer generated queries efficiently
  • To be able to conduct site visits to liaise with customers where appropriate to the benefit of the company
  • To be able to conduct site surveys and quote for works required by the customer to the company standard
  • To maintain a neat and tidy appearance at all times wearing company uniform
  • To inform customers of fire industry knowledge
  • To collaborate with the head office staff to produce effective working practices
  • To promote Interserve FS at all times

Need to demonstrate as a minimum the following criteria:

  • The assessment of risk from fire
  • Applicable Legislation
  • Appropriate Guidance
  • Behaviour of fire in premises
  • Effects of fire on people and behaviour of people in fire situations
  • Means of Escape
  • Fire Prevention
  • Fire Protection (includes Passive & Active)
  • Management of Fire Safety

Salary: £35,000 to £45,000
