Positive Behaviour Practitioner/MAPA Trainer
I am seeking a highly proactive, skilled and resilient Positive Behaviour Practitioner with experience of delivering MAPA training to join a well respected, independent provider of residential care and support for adults with learning disabilities, including Autism and challenging behaviours.
You will join an established, yet growing provider, who has a handful of high quality residential services near to the Dudley area.
You will become part of a person centred, responsive and active provider who promotes positive outcomes for the people in their care.
Your duties will include:
* Risk assessments and service design
* Transition planning and implementation
* Person centred care planning
* Observations of Practice
* Reflective Practice
* Mentoring and Training Staff
* Delivering training for Positive Behaviour Support
* Delivering MAPA training and relevant updates
This is the perfect opportunity for a skilled applicant who can demonstrate a significant background supporting people with a learning disability and/or Autism. In addition, you will possess excellent knowledge of PBS principles and strategies, as well as legal/good practice frameworks including Mental Capacity Act, DoLs and Mental Health Act.
A formal care qualification such as the QCF level 3 in health and social care or relevant academic qualification such as nursing, social work or psychology are essential to be considered for this role. You will also hold a current MAPA training qualification.
Due to the requirement to cover multiple services, a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle are essential.
In return for your extensive knowledge, skills and qualifications, you will receive a competitive salary up to £26000 per annum, continued training and development and a generous annual leave allowance.
