Our client is a multi-award winning organisation who in 2016 were awarded the prestigious Queens award for Enterprise in Innovation. They have been recognised as one of the ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain for the last 4 years running, as one of Britain's fastest growing private companies as part of The Sunday Times Virgin fast track 100 and the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 as well as wining the CIPS Award for Best Supplier Relationship. They have over 1,300 employee's worldwide and established businesses within 12 countries and operations in more than 80 OEM and tiered Automotive and Aerospace suppliers.
Over the last 12 months they have been running a major development project to replace their internal business system. This has been written in .Net Core in Azure and is now coming to an end with go-live imminent. They are now looking for an additional developer to join the team as they start to build the BAU team moving forward. There will be some support of the legacy applications during the early part of your tenure which is written in VB.Net but most of the issues currently being handled are around data so good SQL server development skills will be required.
Moving forward you will be developing additional functionality to the new application so good C# and ASP.net skills are required. Any experience with .Net Core would be an advantage but not mandatory as you will be given time to get up to speed with the new application with the help of the project team. Additional experience with Knockout and Xamarin would also be beneficial as the business uses a lot of hand held devices.
