Build Division Managing Surveyor.

Project Details

This project is based in our Build division, which is the largest business stream in the company, delivering new build and construction projects of up to £30 million to both the public and private sectors nationwide.

Located in Crawley.

£7.5 million in value.

Design and build contract.

40 weeks in length.

The works comprise of a permitted development refurbishment of existing offices into apartments.

Travel/Resides in

Ideally the candidate will reside in the West Midlands.

Job Role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be expected to spend two days a week on site in Crawley and three days a week in our Aldridge Head Office.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be able to assume overall commercial responsibility for a range of projects, ensuring that financial probity and the entire commercial aspects of a project are managed effectively and profitably. As a client facing position, the Senior QS should always represent Shaylor Group positively, take pride in their work and work consistently to Company standards and processes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Senior Quantity Surveyors applying should have a solid track record of successful delivery in a competitive environment that primarily covers refurbishments and new build up to a value of £30m. Potential candidates should be highly driven, used to working under pressure to adhere to deadlines, good with procurement and cost reporting and be able to take responsibility for the management of others.

It is essential that the candidate is educated to a relevant degree level.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

A valid CSCS card or additional qualifications or training is desirable.

RICS accreditation is desirable.
