We are looking for an inspirational and experienced Nursing Home Manager to oversee a 52-bedded nursing home in Cannock. The successful candidate will have previous management experience, and ensure that the best quality of care is delivered to residents every day. You will be comfortable liaising with residents, families, and external bodies. You will have the autonomy to manage your own budget, and will be responsible for ensuring your team are working in accordance with the group’s statement of purpose. The home is rated as requiring improvement with CQC, so we are looking for a strong manager to ensure improved quality of care. We are looking for a manager who has strengths in improving recruitment and occupancy. A nursing qualification is essential for the role, and we are able to offer an excellent salary and bonus package.

Duties include:

  • Supervising all staff in the home, ensuring quality of care.

  • Working within frameworks governed by NMC, CQC, and local authority.

  • Ensuring end of life care is of the highest quality.

  • Staff recruitment, selection, and retention.

  • Working within budget.

  • Ensuring care plans are tailored and up to date.

  • Communicating with empathy and professionalism with residents, families, and professional bodies.

  • Maximising occupancy of the home.

  • Developing policies and practices for all staff to adhere to.

Essential Qualifications/Experience

  • Management experience

  • RGN qualification

  • Dementia experience


  • Robust knowledge of CQC requirements
