Reporting directly into the Group Finance Director you will be responsible for providing a robust and visible link between Finance and the operational areas of the Education Division, taking a commercial approach and being challenging, to further the Division's objectives. You will work primarily for PGL but will also be involved with other areas within the Holidaybreak Group.
You will need to be knowledgeable about the wider commercial factors relating to the Education Division businesses, identifying relevant issues and undertaking analysis of internal operations, to support directors and business managers to establish where new business opportunities can be exploited and efficiencies can be realised.
Responsible for analysing financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision support and Improve financial reporting by analysing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; and recommending actions to management. Guiding the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; and recommending actions.
As Finance Analyst, you will recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses and will study proposed changes in methods. You will help to increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools as well as critically appraising project proposals and business cases and provide relevant financial support and information.
You will be
You will ideally be a Qualified Accountant (or equivalent relevant experience) with experience of working within a commercial role. Have a strong financial analysis background with experience of creating forecasts and models.
You will be proficient with Microsoft Excel and have excellent communication and presentation skills being comfortable interacting with Executive-level management. PGL is an ever changing, fast paced business and as such looking for a self-starter with ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow.
