Interim Events Co-ordinator
Acorns Children's Hospice is 30 years young this year. A charity full of energy and vitality with a big future ahead. Charity People is over the moon to be heading up the search party for an experienced and talented Interim Events Co-ordinator to support the development and delivery of an outstanding and creative events portfolio. Could you help Acorns make every day count for children and families across the West Midlands?
Acorns has an unparalleled regional events programme, packed full of variety, challenge and adventure. A unique blend of flagship in-house and third party events as diverse as a Great Gatsby themed ball, a trek to China, a Bubble Rush and festive events, as well as a range of marathons, runs, cycles and endurance.
We are looking for an experienced Events Co-ordinator with a previous track record of supporting a successful events programme, generating income and increasing awareness.
What are we looking for from a proud Acorns fundraiser?
* Excellent working knowledge and experience of events
* Exceptional co-ordination and administration skills
* Demonstrable experience of providing fantastic customer care to event participants
* A good understanding of the supporter journey
* Team player who can demonstrate real passion and zest for the charity's work
This role is based at Head Office in Wythall where there will be a friendly welcome from a lively, bubbly team of fundraisers, flexible working and plenty of opportunity for personal growth and development. This is an initial 12 month contract.
