This is an exciting opportunity to help the University to move to the next level of maturity of portfolio and project management. As the head of a newly-formed central team, reporting directly to the CFO, you will implement portfolio management for the University’s major projects. You will also help to develop the portfolio in line with strategic plans and engage across all areas of the University to track emergent initiatives. This portfolio includes not only business projects with significant IT content, but any major change initiative, large estates works, and major collaborative work around research and economic regeneration. Experience with a similarly broad portfolio would be advantageous.

You will also provide advice on portfolio management, programme and project management to the senior management team, and will manage a small team comprising a Programme and Project Management consultant, Change Management consultant and Portfolio Analyst, providing "centre of excellence" services across the University.

You will be an experienced Project, Programme and Portfolio professional, looking to make a significant difference with an ambitious organisation. You will have experience working with and guiding senior management in these areas, either in-house or as a consultant. You will possess relevant professional accreditation.

For more information about applying and for the job description for the post, please see the current vacancies on the BCU website.
