Export Sales Manager - High Value/Aerospace Metals (Aluminium, Stainless Steels and Titanium Products)

Based: Midlands

Area Covered: Global

Due to an Internal Promotion and impressive and rapid growth over the last 12-18 months, an exciting opportunity has arisen with one of our clients for an Export Sales Manager - High Value/Aerospace Metals (Aluminium, Stainless Steels and Titanium Products) to work on a Global basis.

The business is a market leading organisation, that is instantly recognisable as such and they have a very well respected brand. The company are part of a multi-million pound turnover global group and set the standards within the market with their exceptional and wide ranging products and on-time delivery service. That said they operate as one company meaning they are very open and transparent and all in all this is a great opportunity to join the organisation as it continues to grow and develop.

The ideal candidate will have experience of High Value/Aerospace Metals (Aluminium, Stainless Steels and Titanium Products) and Value Added Services such as Machining and Processing etc, failing that they will have experience of working for a Metals Distribution company, they will also consider applicants with experience of working for a Metals Mill / Manufacturer, they may also look at people with Commercial Metals or Aerospace Components experience or you will be from an Engineering / Aerospace related background and are commutable to the Midlands.

As an Export Sales Manager - High Value/Aerospace Metals, you will be responsible for the Export Team, overseeing the development of business with key and existing clients whilst also encouraging your team to go out and find new business also with new clients predominantly in the Aerospace sector. You will be measured on your understanding of pricing, relationships you have and can build with major aerospace companies, increasing sales and increasing margin on non-contract work.

This role offers excellent and diverse opportunities for career progression into more senior positions throughout the company and the wider group for the successful applicant so you will be an ambitious and forward thinking individual.

You will possess a proven track record of selling High Value/Aerospace Metals (Aluminium, Stainless Steels and Titanium Products) and Value Added Services such as Machining and Processing etc, alternatively you will have experience of working for a Metals Distribution company, experience of working for a Metals Mill / Manufacturer, experience of selling Commercial Metals or Aerospace Components or you will be from an Engineering / Aerospace related background and are commutable to the Midlands.

The company require applicants who are strong relationship builders both internally as well as externally, follow through and do what they say, are trustworthy, have integrity and are determined to succeed. They also want people who can multitask, are well organised, have strong sales skills and they really want someone who not only sets the standards with the team but really drives this forward also.

It is also important to note that this role in all likelihood will only have you doing overseas travel / overseas trips 2-3 days of each month.

The key selling points of the role are the company is moving to a much bigger site and are expanding rapidly, they are very profitable and have very much a long term view when it comes to the way they run the business i.e. they invest money back into the business but the key selling point is there are numerous progression opportunities across the whole business and group.
