Sales Director role to move the company forward in the next phase of development with full P&L responsibility for all the business in the UK, Ireland and any export.

Client Details

Our client is a market leading manufacturer supplying the building & horticultural trade and retail sectors. With two strong brands the company has a strong 150 year history in Europe with 40% market share in the UK.

The company is part of a 1 Billion euro company with a global reach.


The position will report in to group and is one of the key roles in the business.

The position holds full P&L responsibility for all business in the UK, Ireland and export business.

This role will be based at the head office in the West Midlands which is positioned next to the manufacturing facility and the link to both the internal commercial team as well as operations & finance personnel.

Externally the company employs a structure of sales agents to support the customer base however it would be a key part of this role to develop a new structure to maximise sales in the future.

Man management of sales agents & ultimately directly employed sales reps.


Degree educated

Has strong experience working in a sales & marketing role within the building and/or retail sector

A proven track record of strong account management with the likes of Travis Perkins, Saint Gobain, Wickes, B&Q

A positive forward thinking individual

Strong business development skills
