The Events Crew Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly self-motivated individual, with a passion for the events / exhibitions industry, to join our small team and help support the ‘not so routine‘ day to day management of our company’s events.
As an Events Crew member you will mainly be based at our brand new warehouse in Worcester but may be required to support the rest of the team at events around the country. The daily duties normally include:
- Loading & unloading of event kit
- Managing online orders and distributing sales literature via a courier service
- Logistics of our portable exhibition equipment
- Supporting in the design and pre-building of exhibition stands
- Driving company vehicles to deliver and collect event equipment
- Occasional early starts / late finishes, with overtime paid in lieu time
- Providing support at on-site events, with occasional overnighters
- General upkeep of the warehouse
- Stock control
- Managing & allocating incoming deliveries
- Maintenance & cleanliness of event equipment
This is a physically demanding role so you will need to understand the importance of the correct heavy lifting procedures in a work place.
What do you need to succeed?
We’re looking for someone who has experience of working to tight deadlines, ideally with an interest or background in the events and exhibitions industry. You will have good organisational skills and a strong eye for detail, and be able to communicate effectively at all levels with internal and external customers. You will have a creative, diplomatic and confident approach and will be a team player, used to working in a busy and challenging environment.
You will need to have an understanding of computer systems and a full UK Driving Licence.
