Graduate - SEN Learning Support Assistant for KS1 - Immediate start

Do you already have some volunteer or paid experience in Special Needs Education?
This is an SEN school in the Birmingham South area. Students have a range of special needs including moderate needs and most are on the Autistic Spectrum. This school is a small school with a skilled teaching team in place and excellent teaching support staff. The leadership team are recruiting more Learning Support Assistants to maximise 1:1 support for Autistic students. The school is looking to put in place more support to help build success in the new spending areas. They are OFSTED Outstanding and are looking to develop staff skills further to ensure they maintain their excellent position.
As a graduate, looking to develop their teaching experience, you will be working in two classes with students who are all on the Autistic Spectrum, providing support with all lessons and maths and literacy every day. You will work as a learning support assistant within KS1, focusing your attention on specific students, working on a 1:1 basis. You will work together with teachers, other LSAs and IEPs to implement education and personal plans to help provide an opportunity for success for your students.
You are a graduate preferably in looking to get into teaching. You already have some experience, paid or voluntary in Primary or preferable special education needs environments. You have an understanding of the needs and challenges young people face with learning and developing life skills and have the aptitude to support and lead students in their learning. Your experience to date and your degree puts you in a great position to prove you have something to contribute to an existing fantastic school and your high standards and education are exactly what this team needs. You are confident and can demonstrate and ability to work independently and implement plans and instruction with accuracy, dedication and compassion.
