Head of Digital Services, Digital Transformation, Public Sector, CIO, IT Director, Head of IT, Head of ICT My large Public Sector client based in Worcestershire are currently recruiting for a Head of Digital Services on an initial 6 Months Fixed Term basis paying a salary of up to 78,246 + Benefits. Accountable to the Executive Board for ensuring realisation of Business Strategies and outcomes through the deployment and delivery of an appropriate and relevant Digital Services Strategy and operating regime by: Ensuring that Digital Services are provided and managed in a manner that assures the appropriate and relevant delivery of these services to meet the needs of the business. Actively demonstrating and promoting the values and behaviours expected of everyone who works with or for the business - creating a culture of achievement Ensuring that Digital Services are customer centric in their design and delivery Ensuring that the right staffing capabilities, competencies and capacities are available, at the right time in the right way Ensuring that the value of Digital Services to the business are maximised through innovation and best practice Ensuring that sustainable 'commercial standard' arrangements are in place for the complete service lifecycle of the Digital Services whether directly provided or managed Ensuring that Digital Services contribute to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies of the business. Main Responsibilities 1) To lead, motivate and inspire the Digital Services (DS) team to provide customer focused services which meet the stated needs, current and future, of the organisation. 2) To lead the creation of a well-functioning DS team, systems, processes, practices and procedures that help solve crimes and protect people from harm, and which results in an environment whereby officers and staff are contented that their ICT makes their work easier and them more effective. 3) To have a relentless focus on: Putting the customer first in any service design or delivery channel Ensuring that the DS team has the right behaviours, capabilities, competencies and capacity at the right time Security and accessibility - ensuring that the right people have access to the right information at the right time in a manner that is both safe and secure. Maximising the value and trust of digital services to the business Minimising the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Maximising the Return on Investment (ROI) Maximising service performance Continual Performance/Service Improvement - in terms of People, Service and Technology Service Innovation - in terms of economy, efficiency and effectiveness of existing and new services Service Integration, engagement and collaboration 4) Lead and take individual accountability to plan, develop and implement strategy, policy, practice and procedure for all DS assets, service development and renewal to ensure best use of resources to enable the delivery of services to policing that meet the agreed and defined levels of quality. 5) To lead on the design, monitoring and review of all DS policies, processes and procedures to ensure that the required controls are in place, are effective and are being used as intended. 6) To develop, maintain and improve the digital service estate (including associated assets) to meet the forecast needs of the business What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
