Warehouse Manager - Manufacturing
My client is a British manufacturer of bespoke, handmade quality products. Through business growth they are now seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to help promote on time delivery, accurate stock holding and perpetuate an exceptional customer experience.
This role is key to the future success of the business and you'll need to be the kind of person that thrives on shaping the processes that link sales to stock control and delivery.
Its a fast-paced and well-established manufacturing unit.
This role will see you being hands on and helping to train, develop and manage the team, that are already in place, to promote an efficient working environment. You will need to possess leadership and motivational skills, as you drive your team’s results efficiently within the supply chain processes.
Responsibilities within this role will be to:
Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, assembly and despatch of goods
Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
To ensure systems are accurate and up to date
Organise despatch of goods with courier companies, including Export.
To ensure regular PI counts are undertaken and stock is accurate.
To ensure stock take process is completed and results investigated and communicated.
Develop and establish best practices within warehouse management procedures.
Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies
Monitoring staff performance and progress
Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met/exceeded
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
The successful applicant will possess:
Have at least 5 years’ experience in warehousing and 3 years in a managing role
Experience managing multiple and varied Products (we have in excess of 4000 SKUs)
Experience in managing domestic and international shipments
Able to work under pressure on their own initiative to deadlines without close supervision.
Think outside the box.
Excellent in time management, communications, decision making, human relations, presentation and organization skills.
Able to work as part of team (job is not deskbound).
Extremely methodical with keen eye for detail.
Have good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, and the ability to learn new IT skills quickly.
Able to implement processes and procedures
Customer focused with strong customer service ethos
Expert in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Show high commitment - not controlled by the clock
It is desirable that you have a forklift license

Salary is up to £30k, Monday - Thursday 7 - 3pm, Friday 6 - 2pm with 22 days holiday + stats.
