An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a reputable logistics and transport organisation based in Droitwich. Due to retirement, my client is seeking a Customer Service Operative to manage their driver's reception office on a permanent basis.
Your new role
This role requires regular interaction with various departments within the company and is an integral part of the business which impacts significantly on the smooth running of the site. Reporting into the Customer Service Manager, you will control the daily operations of the driver's reception desk in accordance with company procedures.
Your duties will include managing the flow of hauliers and vehicles on and off site, liaising with all hauliers (including foreign) and customers via the telephone and email, providing booking times/references, updating the bookings diary, chasing deliveries, processing driver deliveries and collections, distributing documentation appropriately, controlling MSDS files, supporting the Operations Manager with Risk Assessments and providing general administrative/customer service support when required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels. Previous administrative/customer service experience is required, preferably in a logistics environment, along with strong attention to detail. Finally, you'll be IT competent and have great working knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel).

In return, you will receive a salary of £16,744 and access to a contributory pension scheme. You'll benefit from 20 days holiday (rising to 25 after 5 years service) and free onsite parking.
