Income Recovery Advisor

Birmingham

Salary: Up to £24,888 per annum (starting salary subject to qualifications and experience)

Hours: 36.25 per week, Monday - Friday

Housingrecruit.com is currently advertising for an Income Recovery Advisor on behalf of our client, a leading social housing provider based in Birmingham.

As part of their new Housing Services Team in the West region, our client is looking for a person who can really ‘make a difference’ and working alongside colleagues not only within housing but also across the business, developing a shared culture that goes hand in hand with the Group’s vision and values.

As an Income Recovery Advisor, you will be highly focused on reducing arrears and ensuring customers pay, whilst balancing the Group’s responsibilities as a social landlord. You will develop their firm but fair approach, recognising the commercial requirement to minimise arrears alongside the need to support the more vulnerable in the communities. An understanding of debt recovery and management is essential, and knowledge of welfare benefits is needed to help the organisation best advise customers.

With the key aim of delivering a ‘heartfelt service’, you will truly ‘own it’ by doing what you say you will do with a real pride and passion. Our client wants you to put the customer at the heart of everything that you do whilst being a key part of developing the team culture; being innovative and creative to drive forward a performance culture fostered to achieve the Group’s key aims and objectives in their neighbourhoods.

As a ‘fun but fair’ member of the team, you will know how to bring the best out of your colleagues and yourself whilst working across other regions to ensure consistency and a harmonised approach are achieved as part of ‘One Team, One Vision.’

In line with the organisation’s culture, you will be empowered to ‘push the boundaries’ and encouraged to constantly strive for excellence and a fresh way of doing things; being sector leads in delivering outstanding services and truly making this a service that is focussed on ‘Improving Lives.’

Closing Date: 20th April 2018
