About the Environmental Technician role:
Client focused and quality driven, we are a leading provider of environmental services. Now we need a Technician to undertake a diverse range of duties in support of the environmental consultancy teams. Duties will include visiting sites to collect soil and water samples, assisting with office-based activities and general data recording and reporting. The base office will be in Southam, Warwickshire. SOCOTEC has offices across England, Scotland and Wales and, as well as work in the local area, the role will entail providing support to other SOCOTEC offices and undertaking site work as required; this will entail periods of time away from home and a full driving licence is essential.
You will:
This is an entry level position, and as such relevant training and supervision will be given. Your challenge will include:

- Soil, groundwater, surface water and effluent sampling & monitoring
- Other Environmental monitoring and use of environmental measurement equipment on site
- Processing of samples for dispatch to the analytical laboratories
- Preparation of site records and inputting to reports

About you:
We’re looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with ability to work alone and as part of a team. Communicative, organised, flexible and committed, you must also have:

- Good A level (or equivalent) results and probably a further education certificate in an engineering or scientific subject
- An ability to follow set methods and procedures in addition to being able to use own initiative
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, a self-motivated attitude to work and the ability to alone or as part of a team and to work to deadlines
- A full UK Driving License, as the role includes regular travel
