Our client is globally recognised as one of the most successful independent component manufacturing companies supplying some of the UK’s biggest names. Established almost 80 years ago, this company has grown in size and strength and now seeks an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their West Midlands based operation.

Responsibilities include:

Routine maintenance & repair faults on machinery, processes and services on site

Carry out improvement work on machinery and processes to minimise downtime

Design, build and prepare jigs & tooling for machinery

Involvement in project work – machinery upgrades, installation of new plant, continuous improvement tasks

Assist the Engineering team in PLC upgrades

Assist in the programming of CNC controlled machinery

To be the successful candidate you will have:

A recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in either electrical or mechanical engineering

Solid electrical fault diagnostic understanding

Strong mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic background

Understanding of correct isolation techniques and awareness of safety obligations

The ability to use CAD would be highly advantageous

Previous work experience within a plastic or machine tool environment

Experience of moulding machinery, machining centres, lathes and packaging equipment

Working a day shift (8am – 5pm Monday through Thursday 8am – 4pm Friday), our client are offering a salary up to £28,000 with an OTE of £30,000. Benefits include a contributory pension (to 5%), Death in Service, 28 Days Holiday (including Bank Holidays) and many others.

This role is commutable from Nuneaton, Hinckley, Rugby and Royal Leamington Spa
