To be responsible for project delivery and the full project lifecycleensuring the most effective, timely and appropriate IT solutions(application or infrastructure) are developed (acquiring and utilisingthe necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost,timescales and quality) to fulfil the business requirements enablingbenefits realisation. The delivery managers within thefamily have a full programme of various types of projects from majorcore systems change programmes to delivering agile applications to ourRetail Colleagues. This role will be accountable for delivery ofprojects of small to medium scale. Strength in stakeholder management,managing end to end with internal and external teams, financial controland a great communication style are key attributes to being successfulin the team. What I need to do Responsible for day-to-day delivery of the end-to-end IT project, if within the 1m budget threshold or (or specified work packages within larger projects) to meet the agreed business requirements within timescale, cost and quality constraints, and in accordance with the agreed standards & methods, working with the relevant stakeholders to achieve the desired results. Works with the Product Owners or under the direction of more senior Delivery Managers to ensure that the business develop robust requirements, processes, project acceptance criteria, training plans, training materials, communication plans, deployment plans and required procedural changes. Development of strong internal and external stakeholder relationships at all levels including 3rd Party Suppliers to ensure all aspects of the project cycle are adhered to. Responsible for escalating to the Project Sponsor, Senior Delivery Manager or Head of Technology where necessary (providing evaluated recommendations) to ensure the projects are completed to time, cost and quality. Responsible for assuring the quality of the project following agreed quality assurance standards. Support the project team in delivering project strategy, day to day management, and management of interdependencies, milestones, and deliverables. Assist with the compilation of reports and project governance documents including the collation of updates and distribution to key stakeholders providing a reference point for queries Work with stakeholders to embed changes and ensure project outputs are introduced for effective project handover. Build a comprehensive knowledge of core IT processes and systems. How I will succeed Business satisfaction scores confirming delivery to expectations Delivery of projects to business owners that meet the business requirements Change Requests associated with delays not exceeding 10% of a project's original budget Actual costs in-line with budgeted costs (Forecast is at least 80% accurate to actuals) Projects are delivered on time, at agreed cost and quality System changes handed over to support are sufficiently stable to not affect system KPIs Conformance to hygiene KPIs (such as Risk and Issue management) are maintained Proactively takes responsibility, owns any issues arising and follows through to resolve them and recognises how individual responsibility impacts team delivery and inspires others to do the same Working collaboratively with a range of people to support the wider business agenda Always remaining focused on the most critical/impactful task to hand using all resources efficiently and effectively Taking advantage of every opportunity to communicate relevant information remaining mindful of the audience (e.g. translates complex/technical issues to meet the audience's competency level) What I need to know Possess an understanding of project management methods (Essential) Familiar with IT, having a commercial perspective and an understanding of how the project contributes to the business case (Desirable) Awareness of the IT investment evaluation process, including cost/benefit analysis and estimating IT cost/resources etc. (Desirable) Demonstrable skills in influencing and working with ambiguity/unclear parameters (Essential) Clear passion to deliver change in a controlled and measured way whether IT or Business Process based. (Essential) Demonstrable experience of managing a project budget and operating within internal financial processes (Desirable) Demonstrable ability to make customer-centric decisions in a balanced & considered manner (Desirable) Remains visible to customers, where appropriate, as the face of IT to listen to their concerns and share these with others (Essential) What I need to show Strong verbal and written communication skills Understanding and knowledge of the Food Commercial Product Family Proven planning and prioritising skills in order to deliver to deadlines Ability to work independently, checking in with Delivery Managers or Senior Delivery Manager for direction as required in order to achieve results Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate resilience Financial acumen to manage the project (or subproject) budget as required Understanding and willingness to apply the operating model, key deliverables and quality Ability to review processes and drive change through continuous improvement Confidence to influence, communicate, and build relationships with key stakeholders Identifies problems and uses knowledge to develop practical solutions Open to trying new ideas or ways of doing things Analytical and problem solving skills Great listening skills Ensuring customer feedback is used to influence decisions made Uses processes to get results and recognising when to go outside of the process when the issue requires it Resources available to me Project team resources as assigned as required including external providers Business colleagues assigned to the project Nominated individuals from those areas impacted by the project such as the support and operations teams to collaborate on operating model deliverables IT project budget.
