CDM are delighted to be working with an international business who specialise in the design, development and manufacture of metal automotive components.

Due to ongoing growth and an extremely positive year, there is an immediate, Permanent requirement for a Facilities Technician to join the successful operation in Cannock, Staffordshire.

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, this role is responsible for breakdown support to manufacturing areas, carry out improvements and preventative maintenance on equipment at our Cannock site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carryout fault finding activities and undertake timely repair of equipment in the following areas; Compressors/Heating/ General power and lighting/ Gas/Air/Water supplies
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities, renovation and routine maintenance of facilities equipment
• Ensure strict adherence to safe working practices and observe safety rules at all times
• A keen focus on Key performance indicators such as equipment OEE
• Timely response to equipment stoppages and improvements to facilities equipment

Skills and Experience

• Highly organised with the ability to effectively manage time and prioritise workload
• Must be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills open to change and have a can-do approach
• Must be able to establish clear objectives and be result focused, flexible, team orientated and have a self-motivated approach to work
• Have completed a recognised Maintenance apprenticeship or Time served preferably within a facilities role
• Have completed a City & Guilds L3 Electrical Technical Qualification & 17th Edition Regulations
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical installations/Testing & Fault Finding
• Reasonable level of mechanical aptitude including fabrication and mechanical fitting
• Experience within a maintenance environment and knowledge of maintenance systems desirable.I.E (Pirana)
