Opcare is looking to recruit an experienced Prosthetist to join our established team to support the services in Stoke and Manchester. The services provide care to a range of patients, some of which have complex needs with exposure to cutting edge technology at both sites.

The role would suit an experienced prosthetist or a clinician looking to transfer back in to prosthetics from a career break or orthotic practice.

The role would start in Stoke with an expansion of role to work across Manchester and Stoke sites.

The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and busy team, and be supported with local, regional and national training to develop their clinical skills to support the service. Clinicians are also supported to attend relevant external training and attend national conferences to further enhance their professional development.

This position provides an ideal setting for enthusiastic clinicians with a vision to develop their career, clinical expertise and interests in many areas of prosthetic care. The successful applicant will need to be capable of practising independently and have a focus on continual improvement.

The successful applicants will need to:

  • Have obtained a BSc in Prosthetics and Orthotics or other suitable appropriate qualifications;

  • Be registered with HCPC and ideally be a member of BAPO and/or ISPO;

  • Undergo enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) and/or Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) checks;

  • Provide satisfactory references;

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
