Hays education are seeking to appoint exceptional SEN Teaching Assistants to work within an SEN Secondary School supporting students with challenging behaviour and Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties on a temporary basis, with the view to go permanent.
Your new role
Our SEN Secondary school are looking for SEN teaching assistants who are experienced, passionate and motivated to ensure that students are able to reach their fullest potential. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate that you can support teachers in the day-to-day running of the classes including classroom set up and planning of lessons.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role will be supporting students aged 11-18 and will be working five days a week 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Furthermore, we are seeking SEN teaching assistants who can support students across different year groups with SEN and boost their confidence. SEN Teaching assistants must be confident and remain enthusiastic throughout the school day inspiring pupils to learn and focus in and out of classroom activities.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for one of these posts it is absolutely essential that you have a minimum of 60 days experience working as a teaching assistant or directly supporting Challenging Behaviour or Social , Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, this can be on a voluntary basis. Experience supporting students with SEN is vital as is a positive outlook and the sheer willingness to promote inclusion. Strong behavioural management will be key for these roles as well as flexibility and an adaptable approach to work. You must also hold a UK driving licence.
