Job Role: This opportunity covers 10 Debenhams stores - Banbury, Bedford, Leamington Spa, Luton, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Oxford, Rugby, Stratford Upon Avon, and Witney. Our inspirational leaders not only shape their own path to success, but drive their teams to do the same. In this role you will lead a team of Debenhams Store Managers to deliver omni-channel KPIs, customer service and standards across your geographic area. In this role you will: - Give clear direction and coach a team of Store Managers - Be responsible for the communication and execution of our retail strategy, policies and processes and support our department stores in their local market, optimising every commercial opportunity - Manage controllable costs, markdown and capital invested, to within agreed tolerance levels Be responsible for leveraging best practice across peer group and stores - Build a team which achieves business targets and develop individuals to maximise their potential and support Company succession requirements - Manage performance and conduct where standards are not met to ensure consistent delivery of the business expectation Candidate requirements: We want to hear from talented senior managers looking for their next challenge. The successful candidate will have experience managing large turnovers, either in a flagship store or an area role. They will have delivered results through a sizeable team of managers, in a fashion orientated, fast paced, large space environment. We are looking for: - Knowledge and expertise of consumer markets and the function of retail stores in an omni-channel environment - Financial acumen to implement effective budget planning, sales and profit and investment requests - The ability to make an effective business case for opportunities to improve business performance - Demonstrable experience leading behavioural and cultural change - A strong understanding of how department stores operate and the levers to drive performance - A “catchment” mindset Location & Hours: This role is field based, responsible for a specific geographical area in the West Midlands.
