Position: Groupwork Quality and Development Officer
Location: Home based in the West Midlands region with extensive travel across England and Wales
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £25,000 per annum

About the role:

As Group Work and Quality Officer, you will take a key role in the delivery of our client’s relationship and parenting group work to prisoners and their families, ensuring that wider delivery is conducted in line with our client’s quality standards, as well as directly delivering our clients group work.

You’ll do this by delivering training to staff members and our client’s freelance associates, as well as supporting and coaching them as they deliver on behalf of the organisation. The role will assist in keeping group work materials and evaluation data up to date and in developing new content, learning materials and assisting with wider group work services under guidance.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with offenders in custody or the community and with children and families facing social exclusion. You will also have demonstrable experience of delivering successful group work programmes to offenders and of delivering training to staff members and/or other professionals.

A knowledge and understanding of best practice in safeguarding adults and child protection is essential to this role as well as experience in collecting and recording data and using it to inform practice.

You may have experience of the following: Groupwork Quality and Development Officer, Assessor, Teacher, Tutor Group Coordinator, Training Coordinator, Group Worker, Volunteer Coordinator, Training Manager, Groupwork Manager, Group Facilitator, Activity Coordinator, etc.
