I am currently recruiting for a Highway Technician to join a busy team in Birmingham.
The successful Highway Technician will join a busy team responsible for working on number of projects including high-speed road contracts and local authority.
The Highway Technician will
·Demonstrable capability in the planning and delivery of minor highway projects or work packages on large projects.
·Experience to undertake highway geometric design in accordance with the DMRB
·Experience on the preparation of contract documents and tender process
·Experience of complying with quality management systems and financial management systems
·Experience with the preparation of budgets, monitoring and reporting.
·Have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel
·Have a strong understanding of civil engineering design principles
·Delivery of various highway design projects within a multi-disciplinary design team
·Knowledge of resource management procedures.
The Highway Technician will be engaged in an initial 6 month contract.
