Client Summary:

Our client is a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance.


We currently have a requirement for 2 x Defects Clearance MA's (days) to join our team at Central Rivers.

This is a varied role and the successful applicants will be able to work under their own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
The individual(s) must be flexible in their working patterns and responsibilities. You will be required to work a rotating shift pattern which covers a 7-day period.

Key Responsibilities:
*Undertake detailed & varied repairs, replacements and maintenance activities across the 220/221 Voyager Fleet.
*Have the customer's & colleague's safety & satisfaction at the forefront when completing any necessary tasks.
*Able to produce comprehensive and detailed reports relating to any defects, to feedback to the relevant departments for assessment.
*To remain fluid and flexible in relation to the scopes of work required and requested by the management team.
*When required, to carry out additional workloads inclusive of fleet/special checks, modifications, campaigns, and any ad-hoc activities.
*When required, taking charge of maintenance activities on vehicles and sets.
*Be robust, consistent & accurate when following procedures and documenting any information.
*Continually working in compliance of Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMI's), Campaign Instructions, and Work Element Sheets (WES), as necessary.
*To take responsibility for the safe, efficient and professional workmanship of self and others.
*Supports other team members, Lead Hands & Supervisors as necessary in terms of work streams and health & safety requirements.
*Compliance with all laid down Health and Safety legislation and depot procedures to ensure a safe accident free environment.
*Advise of any defects/issues in equipment/arrangements/plant/tooling/processes that could compromise the Health and Safety of themselves and others.
*Ensure all process/work issues are identified and reported correctly and timely.
*To drive continuous improvement through the implementation of lean methodologies and techniques.
*Identify potential improvements and feedback to Production Management.

The ideal candidate(s) will hold a relevant mechanical and/or electrical qualification (NVQ level 3/apprentice trained or equivalent)
