Job Position: 34661 - Engine Transmission Component Engineer x7
Duration: 12 months rolling, 40 hours per week
Job Description: Position would be suitable for an Automotive Engineering Graduate with relevant experience within the Automotive sector and Powertrain Engine skills.
The Transmission Component Engineer will play a vital part to help meet CO2 emissions reduction targets, Hybrid and electric driveline technologies are key focus areas within the Powertrain department requiring versatile Engineers who are comfortable working in mechanical, electrical and systems environments.
This Automotive giant is actively transitioning from initial research activities into full delivery programmes with the electrification of several platforms
The department requires a Component Engineer to support Electric Motor and EDU delivery activities for PHEV programmes.
A component Engineer will assist with all mandated delivery activities and support the ongoing creation and introduction of relevant engineering standards.
Skills Required: Design, development & / or delivery experience of a technical nature within the automotive industry.
Demonstrated ability in managing complex issues and situations, both internally and with external suppliers, within tight time constraints and delivery of quality results.
Proven problem solving and root cause identification skills
Required: Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical).
Design/ development experience within the automotive industry (passenger car or commercial vehicle applications).
Needs to be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a very dynamic environment to challenging timescales.
Experience of gear and bearing system design and housings/casing design.
Rate: Between £12 and £19 per hour on a limited / Umbrella company basis based over 40 hours per week. Some flexibility can be shown on this for outstanding candidates.
