An exciting opportunity has become available to join us as a Hospital Receptionist at Heathers in West Bromwich.
Heathers is a 20 bed specialist rehabilitation service for adult males with an acquired brain injury (ABI). Our person-centred and flexible ABI rehabilitation programme aims to reduce risk, maximise independence, improve quality of life and, where possible, help those affected to recover to the best of their ability.
In this role you will provide a professional, efficient and courteous service for all internal and external communication with the hospital and provide a supportive administrative role to the hospital. Switchboard, Keys, Door Fobs, Panic alarms, Visitors, Airlock Management, Communicating messages.
The role will be temporary for 9 months to provide maternity cover. Full time hours for the first 6 months (Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm) and then 3 days a week (Wed - Fri 9am - 5pm).
In this role you’ll:
• Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Hospital. To act as a positive role model, maintaining and demonstrating a positive attitude towards patients, their families, visitors and other staff.
• Answering and transferring all incoming calls to the hospital and taking messages where appropriate.
• Greeting visitors to the hospital and deliver great customer service.
• Assisting the Hospital Manager/Administrator in general office duties as required, this may include faxing, typing, photocopying, minute taking and filing.
We're looking for people who have:
• 1 – 3 years or more Administration/Reception Experience or evidence of the same, including report preparation; organising meetings; liaising with customers/clients.
• Computer literacy – including Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook or equivalent Microsoft IT skills
• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent level of numeracy and literacy
• Excellent communication skills and ability to be a team player as well as work under your own initiative
