Head of Marketing - Birmingham

Working within the scope of the clients' multichannel strategic pillars, you will be responsible for developing and implementing compelling marketing strategies and campaigns which drive value, growth and profitability. In line with the phenomenal growth and expansion, you will strengthen the clients' market presence and help it find a voice with Customer at the heart of everything you do. With a passion for marketing and delivering innovative and creative campaigns, you will deliver a commercially focused and fun, brand strategy executed through cross functional teams aligned to your promotional plan.

Achieved through:

Brand, Message and Planning Management

* Re-establish our brand vision, brand positioning and the activity to deliver against that in line with our strategy and customer proposition
* Maintaining and guarding a consistent brand image and messaging across multiple channels
* Work cross functionally to promote the clients' personality across all channels with multiple teams
* Strategic planning of brand campaigns and content execution to maximise ROI
* Identify opportunities to increase sales and create brand awareness through a variety of existing and new marketing channels
* Manage budgets, forecasting and any sales income for the Marketing team.


* Work closely with CRM function to define and grow customer insight to design targeted BTL campaigns and wider ATL activity
* Supporting the growth of our key propositions including our loyalty card ensuring customers are aware of the benefits and that all branding and offering is aligned.
* Work with the buying/creative team to determine the required products necessary to support the overall proposition to the customer.
* Understand market activity and establishing processes to monitor key competitor and customer activity
* Keep abreast of the latest marketing trends, identifies new innovative opportunities within marketing and communication media

Campaign/Project Management

* Management of integrated through the line campaigns to support key business focus areas of driving growth in customer frequency and spend per person across all channels through giving customers more reasons
* Supporting the growth of our footprint in the UK, managing campaigns to launch new and existing stores and sustain their growth.
* Manage ad hoc strategic and departmental projects as required
* Demonstrate creative thinking in finding new marketing channels and optimising existing methods to achieve better returns


* Working with the digital marketing function you will guide and collaborate to align the brand, the customer and the message in line with the wider multichannel strategy of the business
* Integrate offline and online campaigns where possible across Search, Email, Social, Affiliates and PR?


* Build, lead, motivate, coach and support to deliver an effective, performing team (both direct and indirect) aligned with our Company values.
* Effectively manage suppliers, partners and agencies to maintain a strong partnership approach acting as an extension of the team, delivering a coordinated approach.
* Develop and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders; working closely with Trading, Retail and Multichannel to ensure a 'one-team' approach and effective delivery of communications into all channels
* Develop New Ideas: Leverage your experience while working with multiple departments and customers to develop new ideas, refine existing practices, and suggest and prioritise initiatives that meet market demands and customer needs

About You

* Excellent knowledge and understanding of both online and 'traditional' marketing.
* A proven track record of success in strategic brand building within retail environment with a strong product focus
* The ability to demonstrate strong analytic skills and ROI
* Strong commercial awareness, this is vital given our position in the value sector
* Amazing communication skills and strong influencing skills
