An exciting opportunity has become available to join us as a Hospital Administrator at Heathers in West Bromwich.

Heathers is a 20 bed specialist rehabilitation service for adult males with an acquired brain injury (ABI). Our person-centred and flexible ABI rehabilitation programme aims to reduce risk, maximise independence, improve quality of life and, where possible, help those affected to recover to the best of their ability.

Typically, our service users will have an acquired brain injury as a result of an accident or a stroke. Other service users will be admitted due to early onset progressive nervous system dysfunction, which may derive from hereditary and sporadic conditions such as Huntington’s Disease.
This role will be temporary for 9 months to provide maternity cover.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• As an Administrator you will act as a positive role model to promote and ensure the good reputation of the Hospital whilst maintaining and demonstrating a positive attitude towards patients, their families, visitors and other staff members.
• The core function of this role is to provide administration support to all disciplines within the Hospital. You will assist the Hospital Manager by completing administrative duties, and prepare/issue reports for meetings and reviews.
• You will maintain adequate supplies of stock and equipment, undertake general administrative duties i.e. faxing photocopying, taking telephone calls and ensure a high standard of record keeping.
• Maintaining accurate and complete financial records of the hospital and processing finance / payroll information are also key requirements.
Candidate Profile
• The successful candidate for this role will be an experienced Administrator/Receptionist, ideally within a healthcare environment and be skilled in report preparation, organising meetings, liaising with customers/clients, cash management/finance or budgets.
• You will educated to GCSE level in Maths and English (or equivalent) and it is desirable if you have a relevant administration qualification.
• IT proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows is key, along with a good understanding of payroll and telephone systems.
• We are looking for a confident communicator, someone with an eye for detail, good organisation and time management skills. The ability to work under pressure and use own initiative is important as well as working as part of the wider Hospital team.
