Children's Care Worker
Now Education are catering for a small company of Children's Residential homes spread across east Staffordshire, The Midlands and Derbyshire.
Our client cater for young people with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties aged 8 - 17 with a variety of behaviours and needs. They currently have 4 locations, 1 in Derby, 2 in Burton and 1 in Birmingham.
We require a bank of Support Staff with relevant experience to support the two homes in Burton-on-Trent. We have the capacity for both full and part-time!
Candidates who have catered specifically for EBD/SEMH in an educational or residential setting are desirable due to the behaviours presented.
07:30:23:00 plus sleep in finishing at 08:00
One House is a 4 bed residential children's home providing 1:1 therapeutic care for children aged 8 to 18 years and has received an Ofsted rating of 'Good' for the third year in a row. The other House is another 4 bed Children's Residential home for young people of mixed gender from the age of 7 to 17 years of age. The Stated objective is to Provide a warm, safe, stable & nurturing environment where each young person is able to develop & have their individual needs addressed; through cultural, emotional, spiritual, educational & social development in a positive & progressive manner.
Brief Job Description:
- Supervision and De-escalation of Behaviours
- Taking YP's to school
- Supervising at school/college
- Wash and iron clothes
- Cook and prepare meals
- Contact visits/driving
- Completing paperwork
- Carrying out general checks and cleaning of the home
