Our client are recruiting a Manager for a Brand New Nursery Facility in Olton Solihull. The Nursery offers high quality full day care for children aged 0 to 5 years. As a Manager you must be:Confident and a self – starter with the ability to successfully lead a team in achieving the best outcome for children.Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the nursery business, forecasting your profit and loss and managing your staffing levels accordingly.Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Ofsted requirements, having achieved good/outstanding Ofsted results while under your management.Someone who has successfully managed nursery settings previously and have a proven track record of achieving excellent standards of care and education.You will have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to lead and inspire your team, providing support and guidance where needed.You will have outstanding customer service skills with a focus on setting your nursery apart from other local settings by providing exceptional services in all aspects of the business.You will be committed to continuous improvement in all aspects of the nursery and able to implement change when required.
Responsibilities will include:
To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education and overseeing the planning and implementation of the EYFS curriculum across all age groups.
To effectively lead and manage the staff including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff.
Ensuring child/staff ratios are adhered to at all times and that all daily checklists are completed on time and accurately, such as opening and closing the nursery, outdoor supervision rotas, and all internal domestic areas checklists.
To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends specifically related to the relevant curriculum. To assist in compiling policies and ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all time.
To implement an effective parent liaison program and to be influential in developing strong partnerships with parents, guardians and carers.
Dealing with complex staff issues as they arise such as grievances, investigations, disciplinary matters, absence management and flexible working requests.
REQUIRED SKILLS FOR POSTLevel 3 in leadership and management A higher level qualification in Early Years Childcare and education/childcare studies or equivalent.Experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy ManagerExcellent organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.Knowledge and experience of Ofsted standards, child development and EYFS.Excellent communication and IT skills.Strong people management skills.
