We are looking for an Installation and Maintenance Engineer to join a specialist site equipment business in Stafford. We require an experienced plant engineer to carry out installation and maintenance of permanent, diesel-engine or generator-powered equipment at sites throughout the UK.

This specialized business enables environmental compliance: providing effective solutions for the management of wastewater discharges and air emissions. They are very well established in the construction, waste and wastewater sectors and provide solutions on a national basis to some of the largest private and public sector projects underway.

The role will require nationwide travel for up to a week at a time (usually 2-3 days a week on average) with O/T and travel time paid and accommodation and a sustenance allowance provided. On average an engineer will spend 2-3 days on client site and 2-3 days conducting maintenance/prep/paperwork at the site in Stafford. An ability to travel freely during the working week is essential to be considered for this role.

-Installing and commissioning systems and equipment on customer site
-Performing site surveys to asses the best method for installation
-Servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing systems and equipment
-Preparing equipment, stock and spare parts prior to installation.
-Fulfilling installations and service work on time, within budget constraints, to full client satisfaction and with zero harm
-Maintaining high standards of quality, health, safety and environmental compliance

The successful applicant must have the following:
-Broad working knowledge of and experience with mechanical and electrical equipment
-Experience maintaining diesel-powered plant equipment OR Generators OR Water Pumps
-CSCS Card - current or recently expired
-UK Driving License

Additional experience with the some/all of the following would be advantageous:
-Experience with water pumps and water pipework
-Experience with air compressors and air pipework
-Experience with generators
-Accredited with CCNSG, SSSTS or SMSTS
-Working at Height qualification

This role will involve working on secure sites. Any successful applicant must be prepared to go through security vetting including BPSS, Drug and Alcohol and Criminal records checks. Continued employment will be subject to attaining this clearance.

-Salary- GBP27k- 33k p/a
-Training and accreditation funding available
-Overtime available up to GBP25 p/h and travel to site time paid
-Monday - Friday 7:00 - 4:30
-Company Van (business use only)
