Severn Trent Water are looking for a Non - Infra Senior Technician to join their team based in Derby. Essentially the role will be to take a senior role in the day to day operation and maintenance of our assets whilst having a real Health and Safety focus. You will work closely with the Team Manager with the management of teams and ensure that they are able to carry out their daily activities at all times.

You will at times also have the responsibility of managing the relationship of our contracting partners ensuring their services are always optimised. Coming from an Engineering background would be a real asset to the role as you will share your technical knowledge with the wider team to ensure their work is always compliant with STW standards.

Having experience where you have had to exhibit leadership behaviours would also be real benefit as you will take on responsibilities of the team manager in their absence. Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will be confident and resilient in sometimes challenging situations and be able to work alone and with the wider team.

With experience of working collaboratively with contract partners and stakeholders across a large geographical area, the successful candidate will also have proven experience of building and developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders alike. Data analysis experience, and use of spreadsheets is key for this role, as is the ability to work well under pressure in times of high work volume.

Desirable, however not essential to this position, is an understanding of sewerage flooding mechanisms, as well as an understanding of term service contracts and their application. Budget awareness and experience of working within budgetary constraints is beneficial for this position, as is a knowledge and understanding of sewerage law, and the operation and maintenance of gravity sewerage systems.

In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:

* 'O' Levels or GCSE's grade C and above
* NRSWA Supervisory Qualification
* IOSH or equivalent
