Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a Business Teacher for a long-term role in a school in Burton-on-Trent. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher with the ability to teach Business throughout KS4-KS5. The subject is very popular, traditionally performs well at both GCSE and A Level and we are looking to appoint a teacher who can help us to strive for even greater success for our students. We are seeking an enthusiastic colleague who is motivated to deliver engaging and purposeful lessons to secure outstanding achievement for our Sixth Form students as the post will focus on teaching Year 12 and Year 13 classes GCSE and A Level. In turn we offer a friendly and supportive team environment where collaboration and mutual support forms the basis of our successes.

The school is an 11-18 school serving Burton-on-Trent and the surrounding community. It is a continuously developing and improving school which is committed to providing stimulating, challenging and high quality teaching and learning. They have a wide range of extra-curricular activities in school and the successful applicant will be expected to play a major part in the broader life of the school.

The person appointed will teach Business in both KS4 and KS5. The department enjoyed good results this summer with 67% of students achieving A* - C, 29% achieving A* - A and 100% achieving A* - G. The A-Level results were particularly strong with 78% achieving A* - C, 44% achieving A* - B and 100% achieving A* - E. The department is very well set to meet the needs of both the new GCSE and A-Level. The department maintains the very highest of expectations of students in terms of their attitude to learning, work and behaviour.
