We are looking for a Dealer Business Area Manager to support the Industrial and Marine segments of the business with a strong focus on the Industrial side.

Volvo Penta has 80 centres in Europe, and 800 Volvo Penta Service Dealers. The partnership profitability and satisfaction of the Penta Centres are vital for the sustainable growth of Volvo Penta UK which is one of the key markets in Europe.

The role

To manage and develop the dealer network in your area in order to achieve strategic goals. To work collaboratively and connect with all stakeholders in the development of parts, accessories and engines business via dealers, processes, systems and dealer competence.

  • Monitor, develop and implement Volvo Penta Centre business plan, in order to secure sales/profitability.
  • Identify market potentials and provide support during the change processes such as dealer restructuring and development of the future and current dealers ensuring adherence to Dealing Operating standards (DOS) and the access and support to internal systems in collaboration with VPC’s.
  • Monitor and improve dealer satisfaction to Volvo Penta through securing service dealer’s loyalty to local VPC’s
  • Maintain develop and support the OEM / OEM Dealer in all segments via VP networks building excellent relations in both B2B and B2C
  • Work closely with the engine sales and market support teams to ensure engine sales and aftermarket capability through technical and application competence
  • Support marketing activities such as industrial related exhibitions, boat shows, VP Shop, marketing material, social media, dealer identity, dealer meetings, open days, conferences and local media
  • Identify training needs and support the development of commercial competence

    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Self-motivated, excellent team working skills, resilient and enthusiastic
    • Business acumen – interpret and understand KPIs and provide management information
    • Clear customer focus and responsiveness
    • Product knowledge and understanding of customer/market demands
    • Able to demonstrate a global mind-set within an ever changing business environment and propose regular ideas for improvements

    • Proven experience of dealer / account management
    • Experience with direct customers and network
    • Degree in Business Management or Engineering is preferred
    • Track record in developing industrial support networks with a focus on new technologies such as hybrid and electric solutions preferred
    • Available for regular business trips in UK and Europe, travelling is an important part of this job
