Are you looking for a new role as a Prototype Vehicle Technician? Do you want to work for a prestigious OEM that is one of the most advanced operations of its kind in the world? If the answer is yes, this role is for you!

This role involves preparing instrumentation installations in prototype vehicles/bucks and support whole vehicle and component testing in line with design verification plans of all future products. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role and to work for an industry leader!

Key Responsibilities:

* Expected to have thorough vehicle knowledge and have the ability to dismantle, prepare and assemble
* vehicle components and sub-assemblies to carry out an instrumentation task.
* Ability to follow work instructions and procedures to enable a robust measurement & data collection service.
* To build / assemble bespoke Instrumentation systems as directed by Instrumentation engineers.
* Will have knowledge of different transducers and their applications for making vehicle and rig based measurements.
* Will have good soldering skills at connector & PCB level.
* Will be able to work to circuit diagrams / electrical schematics.
* To support instrumented test vehicles/ bucks or rigs off-site during tests
* Experience working with Hybrid or Electric vehicles or working with High Voltage systems would be an advantage.

Key Skills & Experience:

* Full Apprenticeship (Motor Vehicle background) ideally to HNC level
* Instrumentation Experience
* Prototype Test Vehicle Experience
* Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and ability to work to engineering / circuit diagrams.
* Knowledge of Datalogger systems.
* Ability to travel to support tests.
